| A wonderful marine chronometer by one of the world's foremost chronometer makers, serial number 25277, circa 1965 with original Rate Certificate and Guarantee. Thomas Mercer produced over 30,000 chronometers by the time it was sold by the family in the early 1980s. This piece was produced by Thomas Mercer in 1965 for G. Falconer & Co. (H.K.) Ltd. Alexandra House Hong Kong and is so marked on the inner gimbal case including the serial number 25277 which matches the number on the certificate. The Clock is 125mm across and the outer box is 8 X 9 X 10 inches. This piece has been completely restored, including new felt lining in the outer box.
