Silverine open face 18 size lever set pocket watch by Illinois, circa 1875, serial number 98660. Black enamel dial with white Roman numerals, white minute ring and subsidiary constant seconds register. Silverine crescent open face case with golden stag on back. Swing out movement which appears to be a rare transitional model #3 with 15-17 jewels. Dial marked I.W. Co. movement appears to be marked for the retailer, Benedict Brothers, New York. A find for the early Illinois collector. |
